This year, I documented many insightful conversations with others through comics and animations. Through this process, I grew to realize the power held in moments of silence.
This piece features my siblings. Growing up, we developed our own unique way of conversing. Silence often acted as a marker of comfortability, listening, and understanding.

As I was working on this piece, a fragment of the painting broke off. At first, I bound the glass shard back with a string before deciding to include it as a separate element.
The glass shard signals the fragmentation of the painting; a conversation is organically broken by the lulls of scattered silence.
